How to Evangelize with Food…my kind of Evangelization!

The founders of Adore Ministries, Ennie and Cana Hickman, have found a unique and effective way to evangelize and show love to their neighbors: by inviting them over for dinner. Ten years ago, the Hickmans felt a calling to live an ordinary life in a way that would reach others and began hosting weekly dinners on their block.

These dinners have become a way for the couple to get to know their neighbors, share a meal, and even pray with them. The Hickmans believe that by inviting people into their home and sharing their lives with them, they are able to build meaningful relationships and show love in a self-sacrificial way.

As a result of their efforts, the Hickmans have seen many positive outcomes. They have made new friendships, witnessed conversions, and even seen marriages result from the relationships formed over their dinner table. Their simple but powerful idea is a reminder that loving our neighbors can be as simple as sharing a meal and opening our doors.
