Kid Bible Stories: Episode 1 – Video of the Week

The story of the unmerciful servant, found in Matthew 18:21-34, is the subject of the first episode of Kid Bible Stories. In this story, Jesus teaches Peter about the importance of forgiveness. He tells Peter that we should strive to forgive others in the same way that God has forgiven us.

The story is then acted out, in which a servant is forgiven a large debt by his master. However, when the servant encounters another servant who owes him a smaller debt, he refuses to forgive the debt and instead punishes the other servant. When the master discovers what has happened, he punishes the unmerciful servant for not showing the same mercy that he was shown.

The moral of the story is that we should strive to forgive others, just as God has forgiven us. It is important to show mercy to others, even when it may be difficult to do so. By following this lesson, we can strive to live a life that is pleasing to God.
